Thanksgiving in Danville

After a great weekend with my family we got to head to Arkansas with Will's fam for Thanksgiving at the farm. Mama Jan and Chachi's is one of our favorite places in the world and we love to go every chance we get. Mama Fan, Will's 94 year old great-grandma had the whole crew over Thanksgiving day. It was fun to see everyone. We can't wait to take the girls to the farm. Will and I have so many wonderful memories there, it will be fun to make memories with our girls. Will, Helen and Janette got all bundled up and went spotting one night at the farm, they looked pretty funny! They didn't see anything, but I think they had fun anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving

It was a great Thanksgiving this year. We got to celebrate with both families. Mom, Dad and Amanda came from Pasasdena and Mere and Justin came from New Braunfels to share Thanksgiving with us in our new house! It was fun to have them see all the work we had done since they had seen it last. I was thankful for our big kitchen when all the women got in the kitchen to make our meal! We had just about everything you can think of. Turkey, dressing, broccoli cheese casserole, green beans, cream corned, mashed potatoes, rolls, and 4 kinds of pie! We had to make this count for Thanksgiving and Christmas :) The boys enjoyed a trip to Harbor Freight with Papa D, and Will and Justin took the scooters to the Harley store to show off their wheels! I bet they got some funny looks! It was such a blessing having them here with us!

Girls!

Soooo... we are having two little baby girls! We got to have the coolest sonogram done where we got to see the babies and how much they were growing and developing. They measured and looked at each baby from head to toe! We got to see the four chambers of their little hearts, their brains, little bladders, kidneys, spines... it was absolutely amazing. I cannot get enough of these little miracles! The sonogram took about an hour and I was glued to the screen every second just watching our little ones move. At one point the doctor said "that is a beautiful spine on that baby"! I thought that was a funny thing to say. How great is our God! I don't think anyone can fully comprehend Psalm 139 until they get to see life growing in a womb.

O LORD, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.
You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious tome are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.

Praise the Lord for His amazing grace and promises, His sweet mercies are new every morning.

Babies, Babies, Babies

A couple of weeks ago I got to celebrate with my friend Hailey at Blue Mesa with her and a few of her close friends for a baby shower for Reece. It was so much fun! It was kind of ironic because we were at a tequila bar and the waiter went through his whole spchel about the bar... little did he know that over half of us were pregnant! Katy and I had fun getting ready for the party making truffles and putting them in cute little boxes with flowers and ribbon. We also made a cupcake tree for desert! Hailey's mom gave her a dress that was her great-grandmother Reece's. It was the coolest thing! It is so funny that my two best friends from college are both pregnant with me. I am so thankful that I can share this special time with my close friends. Katy is just a few weeks shy and finding out what she is having! We are all so excited to find out. We have figured out that next summer when we all meet up for our monthly Chick-fil-a we will have 5 babies between the 3 of us! Don't know if Chick-fil-A will know what hit them! I have a feeling, neither will we! Katy wasn't showing just yet, so she was trying to over compensate! HA

No Sex Yet...

So went at week 18 to find out the sex of the babies, and the doctor was just not quite sure! Oh well! She did say that she thought one was a girl, but could not tell on the other. We did get some cute pictures though! They were both peering out like little hoot owls! So cute! We have an appt at the prenatal diagnositic clinic in a few weeks, and we should know for sure at that appt!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Well, this is a little out of order, but wanted to post about my grandpa's 90th birthday! It was such a blessing to be home and to celebrate with the whole family. We had a nice birthday lunch for him and all the cousins and kids were there. He has had such a rich life and has been such a blessing to so many. He still practices veterniary medicene on Saturdays with his wife of 60 + years. You can always count on Grandpa D for a story about World War II, growing up in NYC as a young boy, or meeting Babe Ruth the TWO times he got to meet him! He is a character. He is an Aggie and you will very rarely see him without an ATM hat on when he is out! He is such an amazing man and played a big part in my walk with the Lord at a young age. I used to go to church with he and my grandmother when I was in elementary school. I can still remember sliding across the back seat of their cadillac in my frilly dress, going to big church, and Wyatt's Cafeteria afterwards. I also have many amazing memories of working with him at the vet clinic. In the down times we would chat with his feet up on his desk while I caught up on paper work. At lunch we would pick up Chinese food, go to my grandparents house and watch the AMC matinee movie! Such sweet memories! Love you Grandpa! Hope you always know how much you are loved and how much of a blessing you are.

My sweet friend Ashely at work helpe me make this great placemat with pictures of Grandpa growing up! He is so handsome!

16 weeks!

We had our 16 week check up yesterday. Everything went well. We remembered to bring a video so we got our babies in action! One had their rear in the face of the other so we had a hard time seeing both, but we did see both their heartbeats. They were going strong! 164 beats a minute ;) Will was dissapointed that we did not get to the sex of the babies. We did get a peak at one and we didn't see too much, so Will is convinced we are having one girl for sure! The doctor said it is just too soon to tell! But we are going back in 3 weeks, so we should find out then. I am exicted because my Mom is going to get to come. I am hoping to take the day off of work to be with her and just make a day of it! I will be excited to start looking at gender specific baby stuff once we find out! I also got to see my friend Hailey yesterday. She has the same doctor and is due at the beginning of January. She is having a little girl! Her little boy Connor (2) was soo excited to see the baby and was so precious. Hailey got a peak at the Tweens too! So the count down begins. What will we have? Everyone keeps saying girls because they know Will wants a boy so bad! We will see.

So, we are really having TWINS

I think it is FINALLY sinking in that in late February we will have two babies in the Eubanks house. It is just wild to think about, and if Will and I think about it long enough, we both just have to shake our heads and laugh. God is so good, and his timing is so perfect. We are both so excited to meet our babies. I am 14 weeks and feeling great. The exhaustion from the 1st Tri is wearing off. I just started showing this last weekend. This baby bump came up over night! Just in time, because my mom is coming up this weekend to take me shopping for maternity clothes. I am ready to really be showing, know I just feel like I have a beer belly! HA. If someone saw me they would probably think I was a little chunky, not pregnant.
Our last sonogram pic is below. It was at 12 weeks. I was very anxious to know that the TWEENS, as my sister calls them, were doing well. We could not believe how much they had grown!!! They were actually resembling babies, and not little aliens or amoebas! One of them was facing up, and the other down. We could see both their little profiles. One of them was going crazy! Kicking his/her legs, and moving it's arms. The doctor joked that the baby has ADD! YIKES, please Lord no, and that he/she already had her boxing gloves on fighting with the other twin. It was the coolest thing. I cannot feel the babies moving yet, but it looks like I when I do I am in for a ride. God is so good because I was anxious to know they were growing and doing well. To see them moving and to have so much life and vitality, was just amazing. The sonogram pic is below. It really doesn't do them justice. We are kicking ourselves that we did not have a video. Next time we will have the "Texas two steppers" as Mama Jan called them on video. Our next appt is Oct 2nd at 16 weeks. We are hoping the doc can tell us the sex, but I think we will have to wait until the next appt!
Oh, I am still working on the video of Will. I can't find our video cord to hook up to the computer.

In Shock

So Will and I are still reeling from our doctor's visit last Thursday. We were going to confirm that we were in fact pregnant with our first baby. The doctor found the baby, the precious heartbeat and just as I finally let myself say "YOU ARE PREGNANT!" and starting crying, the doctor says "and there is your 2nd Baby!" For those of you who are a little slow, (like we have been at letting this all sink in) WE ARE HAVING TWINS! I will be 9 weeks along tomorrow. A little scared, so excited, and feeling so blessed we enter this new phase of life praising God for His perfect timing, perfect ways and the blessing of life and family. So please be praying! We are due March 13th, and should know what we are having in about 9 weeks. Will is excited because his chances of having a boy are more... the babies are in two sacks, so they are not identical.
We are also renovating our house that we just closed on Friday. My sweet family came up to help paint this weekend, and we dropped the bomb! Will's fam, Kevin Fear, Will D, Webby and Chad all our heros for helping us this last weekend get the house painted and ready for floors. The picture is how we told my parents we were expecting :) I am working on getting the video of Will's reaction to finding out I was pregnant. Wish I could have one of when we found out it was two :) God is so good.
