After a great weekend with my family we got to head to Arkansas with Will's fam for Thanksgiving at the farm. Mama Jan and Chachi's is one of our favorite places in the world and we love to go every chance we get. Mama Fan, Will's 94 year old great-grandma had the whole crew over Thanksgiving day. It was fun to see everyone. We can't wait to take the girls to the farm. Will and I have so many wonderful memories there, it will be fun to make memories with our girls. Will, Helen and Janette got all bundled up and went spotting one night at the farm, they looked pretty funny! They didn't see anything, but I think they had fun anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving
It was a great Thanksgiving this year. We got to celebrate with both families. Mom, Dad and Amanda came from Pasasdena and Mere and Justin came from New Braunfels to share Thanksgiving with us in our new house! It was fun to have them see all the work we had done since they had seen it last. I was thankful for our big kitchen when all the women got in the kitchen to make our meal! We had just about everything you can think of. Turkey, dressing, broccoli cheese casserole, green beans, cream corned, mashed potatoes, rolls, and 4 kinds of pie! We had to make this count for Thanksgiving and Christmas :) The boys enjoyed a trip to Harbor Freight with Papa D, and Will and Justin took the scooters to the Harley store to show off their wheels! I bet they got some funny looks! It was such a blessing having them here with us!

Girls!
Soooo... we are having two little baby girls! We got to have the coolest sonogram done where we got to see the babies and how much they were growing and developing. They measured and looked at each baby from head to toe! We got to see the four chambers of their little hearts, their brains, little bladders, kidneys, spines... it was absolutely amazing. I cannot get enough of these little miracles! The sonogram took about an hour and I was glued to the screen every second just watching our little ones move. At one point the doctor said "that is a beautiful spine on that baby"! I thought that was a funny thing to say. How great is our God! I don't think anyone can fully comprehend Psalm 139 until they get to see life growing in a womb.
O LORD, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.
You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious tome are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
Praise the Lord for His amazing grace and promises, His sweet mercies are new every morning.

Babies, Babies, Babies

A couple of weeks ago I got to celebrate with my friend Hailey at Blue Mesa with her and a few of her close friends for a baby shower for Reece. It was so much fun! It was kind of ironic because we were at a tequila bar and the waiter went through his whole spchel about the bar... little did he know that over half of us were pregnant! Katy and I had fun getting ready for the party making truffles and putting them in cute little boxes with flowers and ribbon. We also made a cupcake tree for desert! Hailey's mom gave her a dress that was her great-grandmother Reece's. It was the coolest thing! It is so funny that my two best friends from college are both pregnant with me. I am so thankful that I can share this special time with my close friends. Katy is just a few weeks shy and finding out what she is having! We are all so excited to find out. We have figured out that next summer when we all meet up for our monthly Chick-fil-a we will have 5 babies between the 3 of us! Don't know if Chick-fil-A will know what hit them! I have a feeling, neither will we! Katy wasn't showing just yet, so she was trying to over compensate! HA

No Sex Yet...

So went at week 18 to find out the sex of the babies, and the doctor was just not quite sure! Oh well! She did say that she thought one was a girl, but could not tell on the other. We did get some cute pictures though! They were both peering out like little hoot owls! So cute! We have an appt at the prenatal diagnositic clinic in a few weeks, and we should know for sure at that appt!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Well, this is a little out of order, but wanted to post about my grandpa's 90th birthday! It was such a blessing to be home and to celebrate with the whole family. We had a nice birthday lunch for him and all the cousins and kids were there. He has had such a rich life and has been such a blessing to so many. He still practices veterniary medicene on Saturdays with his wife of 60 + years. You can always count on Grandpa D for a story about World War II, growing up in NYC as a young boy, or meeting Babe Ruth the TWO times he got to meet him! He is a character. He is an Aggie and you will very rarely see him without an ATM hat on when he is out! He is such an amazing man and played a big part in my walk with the Lord at a young age. I used to go to church with he and my grandmother when I was in elementary school. I can still remember sliding across the back seat of their cadillac in my frilly dress, going to big church, and Wyatt's Cafeteria afterwards. I also have many amazing memories of working with him at the vet clinic. In the down times we would chat with his feet up on his desk while I caught up on paper work. At lunch we would pick up Chinese food, go to my grandparents house and watch the AMC matinee movie! Such sweet memories! Love you Grandpa! Hope you always know how much you are loved and how much of a blessing you are.
My sweet friend Ashely at work helpe me make this great placemat with pictures of Grandpa growing up! He is so handsome!

16 weeks!
We had our 16 week check up yesterday. Everything went well. We remembered to bring a video so we got our babies in action! One had their rear in the face of the other so we had a hard time seeing both, but we did see both their heartbeats. They were going strong! 164 beats a minute ;) Will was dissapointed that we did not get to the sex of the babies. We did get a peak at one and we didn't see too much, so Will is convinced we are having one girl for sure! The doctor said it is just too soon to tell! But we are going back in 3 weeks, so we should find out then. I am exicted because my Mom is going to get to come. I am hoping to take the day off of work to be with her and just make a day of it! I will be excited to start looking at gender specific baby stuff once we find out! I also got to see my friend Hailey yesterday. She has the same doctor and is due at the beginning of January. She is having a little girl! Her little boy Connor (2) was soo excited to see the baby and was so precious. Hailey got a peak at the Tweens too! So the count down begins. What will we have? Everyone keeps saying girls because they know Will wants a boy so bad! We will see.
