The Big 5.... Wedding Anniversary

So, Will and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on May 22nd. It has flown by! We both kept saying all day, 5 years... Wow. I know it isn't that long, but we were really thankful to celebrate! Both our parents celebrate their 30th anniversaries this summer. We have great examples in them of what marriage should be.

Janette graduated on our actually anniversary so most of the day was spent celebrating her great achievement! More to come on that :)

So Will and I were able to sneak away Sunday night for some much needed time together. The girls had been sick almost 3 weeks and so I was especially worn out. Whiny days, and on duty all night with sick babies, can make for one tired Momma! I told Will all I wanted was to sleep in! My wish was granted! We were able to spend a night in a hotel! We had dinner, saw a movie and even had ice cream. Then, i got to sleep in until 9:45, and had a continental breakfast. It was a WONDERFUL way to celebrate.

I am so thankful that I am married to a man who loves me, his girls, works hard to provide for us, loves the Lord, makes me laugh, makes me feel beautiful, and who is my best friend. I love you Will! These are our engagement pics... Will is going to kill me for putting these up! HA. Sadly, don't have any recent pictures of the two of us. Need to be better about that!

Fun Videos

As I mentioned in previous post, the girls are loving "accessorizing". Whether it is shoes, a hat, or sunglasses. Her is Miss Emma parading around in her glasses. A daily occurance with these girly girls.

Here is Addi saying one of her favorite words! Her can also see her famous scoot in this video. Every once in a while I catch her crawling normally! But I guess the "scoot" is normal for Addi Bear.

Round and Round

So here is Addi Bear doing her round and round! She just started doing this the other day and I started singing. Now when I sing, she does it. Today, she was doing it on her tummy too. Emma has started doing it too. I tried to get a video of both of them doing it, but no such luck! Sorry I sound so annoying in this! And all videos... eek.

Abigail Faith 3/6/09

Here is my new niece! She is so precious. She came to visit me about a month ago. She had just started smiling and cooing. So sweet! She was so good... sleeping thru the night at 8 weeks! I can't wait to see her again.

Wagon Ride

When we went home to see Abigail my Dad had this wagon all ready to take the girls on a wagon ride! They loved it! He had "all terrain wheels" so we could go from the grass to the side walk easily without too many bumps.

Cousins Photo Shoot

So I have this incredible friend from college, HAILEY ERICKSON,.. she was amazing and agreed to come out to the house to take pictures of ALL the girls while my sisters and mom were here. We were going to take them to the mall, but it was the week of all the swine flu junk. I am so glad Hailey took them instead! Will had gone to the Danville Open (Annual Golf Tourney in Arkansas) so I declared it a girls weekend!

Hailey brought her backdrop and camera and we turned our bedroom into a studio! The girls were hilarious. I can't believe she got any good shots, but she did. We were so happy with how the pics turned out.

She got some sweet shots of Abby. Precious girl. Poor baby, when we set her down for the group pic, Emma got a little too excited and petted her a little too hard. She didn't seem to mind though.

Hailey was very amused by Mere and trying to keep the girls corraled and entertained for pictures. This is a memory I will never forget.

Spring, Spring We LOVE Spring

Addi and Emma's 1st Birthday

So, I thought I should do a post about their birthday in case I do turn this into a photo book :)

had the party in the mac room at the church. It was the perfect spot! We had lots of help the day before decorating.

My fam, minus Mere was able to come to the party. Wills sisters couldn't make it cause they had school and track.. they were missed! Mama Jan and Chachi were able to come though! It was a great time with all our friends.

As I mentioned earlier, Amanda made the tutus, and Court made the shirts. Amanda made the smash cakes. I could not have done it without her help!

The girls were really cute. They were precious in their outfits, and did great in all the pictures. I just can't believe they are one! Sweetest girls!

We also dedicated the girls that Sunday the 15th. It was our public statement that we commitment to raising the girls for the Lord. It is humbling knowing that they are His, and the responsibility we have to be the best parents we can be for His glory. Will spoke, and did a great job. It was a wonderful way to end their birthday weekend.

We are so incredibly thankful for the Lord's graciousness towards our family. To think these little ones entered the world 6 weeks premature and weighing only 4.5 lbs. Would not know it to see these pictures. We are blessed, and give God all the glory.

Going to do Better...

So I am only behind 7 months! Okay, I have spiffied up the blog. I am ready to really start keeping up with this thing. Especially since I saw that you can turn it into a photo book... that will probably come in handy with our busy life.


So lets see.... the girls got their helmets on in November, on my birthday actually. They wore them for about a 8 weeks. We were really happy with the results, and the girls did not miss a beat. For that we are really thankful.
The girls are doing so many cool things these days. They are 15 1/2 months old. Emma started walking at about 14 months. Miss Addi Bear hasn't taken any steps yet but is loving standing up from a sitting position and when Momma and Daddy help her take steps. I think she can do more than she does, she is just a little more cautious. Was the same way with her pulling up.

It is funny, Emma is better at phyiscal things, and Addi seems better verbally. Usually Addison starts saying a word, and then Emma picks up on it. However, Emma do one thing verbally that Addi didn't. She started making this growling noise... we were like, what can we make this? A pirate, a bear... so our child isn't just randomly growling. So for a while she was doing "how does the lion go?" It was too cute.

We got a mini van :) Yes I am officially a Mini Van Mom! Ha. It has been so awesome to have! Makes going any where with the girls soo much easier.

11. Really like Sesame street. It is so funny, there is an ad for Beaches resorts at the beginning of every SS and they always look and me and smile really big when it comes on!

17. Pretending to talk on their cell phone - this is a new one, Addison has been doing this three days in a row, even pretend laughing, so funny!

Their first word was ball when they were 12 months old. They think everything is ball, they see a lemon "ball", an easter egg "ball"!

They are changing more and more each day! They are getting close to dropping their AM nap... not sure how I feel about that just yet :)
